After Reading "Zhuangzi"

    I originally wanted to write a post-reading review with a relatively complete structure, but when I asked myself, "What is Tao", I found that I couldn't answer it. I read the book again, but I couldn't find an accurate answer;  The answer is very familiar, it is in the book, but I can't tell where it is.  I really memorized it for several months.  Then let¡¯s follow the incomplete way for the time being, and skip it for the time being if you can¡¯t think of it.

    "Inaction" is my impression of Zhuangzi before reading "Zhuangzi".  After reading it, there is still nothing to do.  In the process of reading, there is almost no obstacle to the understanding of Zhuangzi's thoughts, as if this is the way I am. These thoughts and moods have been thought about a long time ago, but I have found a systematic and definite explanation here.

    Zhuangzi, surnamed Zhuang and surnamed Zhou, was born in the Song Dynasty during the Warring States Period and one of the representatives of Taoism. He is also called "Lao Zhuang" together with Laozi.  According to the investigation of Zhuangzi in the preface of the book, there are very few historical records of Zhuangzi. The earliest available historical data is Sima Qian's "Historical Records", which only has more than 100 characters.  As the saying goes: All people have no self, gods and men have no merit, and saints have no name.

    Zhuangzi occasionally appears in the book, through some life deeds, to further explain the Taoist point of view.  In these deeds, the image of Zhuangzi is more vivid than the thought of inaction advocated by Taoism.  For example, in the debate with Huizi, whether it was about "big gourd", "big tree", or "Zifeiyu", you can feel that Zhuangzi is very "rigid";  When Zhuangzi forgets himself because of "different magpies" and is scolded by people in Yu, he is unhappy for three days, and he can see his petty willfulness;  , And lamented "Since the death of my master, I have nothing to say, I have nothing to say", and it can be seen that he is a man of temperament.  And these are all his true revelations, such as saying: Be careful not to lose, which means returning to the truth.

    If it is said that "being at ease outside the dirt" is Zhuangzi's ideal pursuit, then "knowing what to do and being content with life" is the reality in his eyes.  Many people think that Zhuangzi's view of the world is very negative after seeing the theory of "knowing what to do and being content with life".  However, Zhuangzi lived in the Warring States period. At that time, there were endless wars among countries, counselors went to various countries to seek fame, schools of thought were constantly contending, promising and virtuous people died in vain, and the people of the world were in dire straits.  If you want to preserve your life in the chaotic world while maintaining your pure nature, it is really necessary.  Even in today's era when there is no war in the country, it is not very difficult to preserve life, but it is not an easy task to maintain the true nature.  Thinking about it this way, whether it is positive or negative depends on what the individual cherishes more, which also corresponds to a sentence in the article.  Some people think that it is okay to do this or that, and this is also a truth from a certain angle.  But Zhuangzi regards an absolutely pure life as the highest pursuit, and only the theory of "freedom" and "inaction" can achieve this state.  As the saying goes: This is also right and wrong, and that is also right and wrong.

    The book "Zhuangzi" systematically explains Zhuangzi's thoughts and is also one of the important representative works of Taoism.  The book consists of 33 chapters, divided into inner chapters, outer chapters and miscellaneous chapters.  It is said that miscellaneous articles are mostly fake, and a very important way to distinguish the authenticity is the writing style.  Zhuangzi's style is unconstrained, sometimes "riding the clouds", "flying dragons", and "relaxing outside the world";  technique.  In his articles, the vast universe and the end of the autumn are together, but there is no violation of harmony, as if it is natural.  His thoughts are unpredictable and carefree, as if he has obtained a peerless talent from the heaven and the earth, coupled with the skills of ghosts and gods, he has carved such a shocking work.

    In the process of reading the book, I have to think about some vocabulary. The following parts are some insights, but this does not necessarily represent the views in Zhuangzi's book.  This is a bit of wreckage to be found among the dross of ancient thought, but perhaps it is only a phantom¡ª¡ª

    road.  What is Tao?  Tao is the origin of the universe and the root of the formation of all things in the world.  Where is the Tao?  Dao is everywhere, as great as the universe, and as small as an ant.  Do you know?  The Tao can be known, but it cannot be passed on, taught, or spoken to others.  Who can get the Tao?  Those who have truly attained the Tao do not know it, those who are close to the Tao know that they cannot speak the Tao, and those who know that they can speak the Tao have not attained the Tao¡ª¡ª

    real.  "Be careful not to lose, is to return to the truth."¡ª¡ª

    change.  Everything in the world conforms to the way of nature, and changes all the time, but the way lasts forever, and the ultimate man adheres to the only way and changes with all things¡ª¡ª

    Inaction.  "Do nothing and do everything".

    ¡ª¡ªEquality of things.  "Heaven and earth live side by side with me, and all things are one with me."  There is no honor or humbleness in the world, no benevolence, righteousness, rituals and music, no right and wrong, and everything in the world exists equally.

    Finally, I would like to mention a point that I have not verified, and it may not be correct:

    Many immortal masterpieces are emphasizing a similar point of view, the morality and conception that exist in this world?, the judgment of right and wrong, etc., are all defined based on human needs, but this is not the essence of the world.  In Nietzsche's "Zarathustra Spoke", "If human beings want to survive in the world, they must first measure all living beings. Therefore, they rule the meaning of all living beings, and of course the meaning of human beings!" In "Zhuangzi", there is, "  Moreover, if things are both things, how can they be like things?" I remember that there is a similar view in "Walden Pond".  The same is about the natural nature of life, but each has its own merits.  What Zhuangzi said is to follow it and not make any changes to it; Thoreau said to find it, overthrow the shackles of various orders in the world, and re-establish a new order in the cognition and attitude of this world; and Nietzsche said that we must recognize  It surpasses it, stands at the top of power, and becomes a superhuman existence.
