That night, Yue Ruzheng had constant nightmares.  In the dream, Yinxi Xiaozhu turned into ruins, and the originally gorgeous red plums were scattered all over the ground like blood.  Suddenly there was a waning moon in the sky again, and I was tightly tied under the plum tree by an iron chain, and I couldn't get free after all kinds of struggles.  She was sinking in the nightmare, but she was unable to wake up. Sometimes she clearly realized that she was dreaming, but she just couldn't open her eyes, and her body was heavy, as if being pressed down by a heavy stone.

In this way, she spent the night in fright and fear. When she opened her eyes in a half-dream and half-awake, the outside of the window was already white, but there were traces on the window paper, as if it was raining again.

The medicinal powder on the wound seems to have taken effect, and the hot feeling from last night has disappeared, only a dull pain.  She turned sideways, the clothes she took off on the bedside cabinet last night were all gone, and now the light in the room was getting brighter, so she had a chance to take a closer look.  Like the outhouse, the furnishings here are equally simple, except that there is a bamboo and wood desk under the window, with pens, ink, paper and inkstones on it, and a number of scrolls are placed on the rattan bookshelf on the right side of the desk, whose contents are unknown.

Just at this moment, the door opened, and the young man came in with a bamboo basket in his mouth, leaned over the bed, put the basket on the cabinet, turned his face to her and said, "Eat breakfast."

She was slightly startled, and sat up with support. Sure enough, there was a bowl of rice in the basket, and a bowl of soup made from unknown wild vegetables in the mountains.  The vegetable leaves were cut very finely, floating in the soup, green and light, exuding a faint fragrance.

"You have suffered internal injuries, so you still can't eat meat." He sat on the chair, took off his shoes, stretched out his feet, and brought out two bowls one by one.

Yue Ruzheng thought for a while, and there seemed to be no one else in the room except the two of them, so she raised her eyebrows and asked him tentatively, "You did this?"

The boy's feet were still resting on the cabinet. Hearing her question, he suddenly sat up straight, gave her a complicated look, and said in a low voice, "I've washed my feet, they're clean." Then he put his feet down,  Put on straw sandals and don't say a word.

It was only then that Yue Ruzheng realized his sensitivity, and hurriedly said: "No, I didn't mean that. I just think you are better than me, and I don't even know how to cook."

The boy still lowered his eyes, Yue Ruzheng took the bowl of soup with pain, took a sip, and felt the fragrance on his teeth and cheeks, then smiled and said: "Not only does it look beautiful, but it also tastes good."

The boy quietly raised his deep, dark eyes to look at her, and there seemed to be a little warmth on his pale face.  Yue Ruzheng only glanced at him briefly in the dark yesterday, but now facing him, she saw that his appearance is quite handsome, especially the eyebrows and eyes, which are delicate and clear, without any flaws.

"It's just worthless wild vegetables." His tone was still calm and unwavering, "I don't have any good things here."

Yue Ruzheng took a few sips, then raised her head and asked, "Aren't you going to eat it yourself?"

The boy turned his body to the outside, and said indifferently: "I'll go out to eat after you finish eating."

Seeing him say this, Yue Ruzheng was embarrassed to eat too slowly.  Seeing her thoughts, the young man bowed his body and said, "Don't worry, take your time."

Yue Ruzheng blushed a bit, and said while eating: "By the way, I still don't know what to call you?"

The boy was taken aback for a moment, and said, "My surname is Tang."

"Tang?" Yue Ruzheng smiled and said, "My surname is Yue, Yue Ruzheng."

Seeing her saying this, the young man seemed to feel that it was inappropriate for him to only mention his surname, so he added: "Tang Yanchu."

"Tang Yanchu" Yue Ruzheng read it again, and said again: "How old are you this year?"

    "Nineteen." He said flatly.

"Huh? As big as me." She raised her crooked eyebrows and said, "I thought you were younger than me."

Tang Yanchu looked at her, and that look seemed to feel that she was a bit long-winded.

But she didn't seem to notice his displeasure, and asked unwillingly: "Then when were you born?"

He pursed his lips, and after a long silence, he said, "It's this month."

Yue Ruzheng's eyes flickered, and she said with a smile: "February? What a coincidence, I was born in the first month, and I'm still older than you. If that's the case, I'll call you Xiao Tang, okay?"

A trace of surprise flashed across the boy's eyes, as if a breeze was blowing across the clear and shallow water, he hesitated for a moment, and then nodded.

Yue Ruzheng finished his breakfast in a hurry, and sweat dripped from his forehead.  The young man looked at her and said, "You probably have a fever, probably because you are too tired and caught cold."

She also felt that her body was slightly hot, and her heart sank, then she raised her head eagerly and said, "Xiao Tang, you have.  This kind of fear is inexplicable, it seems to be a nightmare, and it seems to be a hallucination, but it will wrap her tightly and make her unable to breathe.

The senior brother often laughed at her, she looked bold and aggressive, but she was actually like a child who was afraid of the dark.  Although Yue Ruzheng refused to accept it, she couldn't explain it either.

She shrank like this and spent the second night in Nanyandang.

By dawn the next day, the rain had stopped.  The stream behind the house should have surged, and Yue Ruzheng could hear the sound of rushing water flowing into the distance.

The weather gradually improved, and Yue Ruzheng no longer had a fever, but Tang Yanchu hadn't come back yet.  Yue Ruzheng's heart began to fluctuate, from worrying that he would not be able to get to Beiyandang early, to worrying about whether he could come back safely.  She couldn't restrain her wild thoughts, and began to regret why she asked him to go to the uncle in the rain.  When he left, he didn't know if he had brought rain gear. Even if he had brought rain gear, how should he take it?  Although he lives in the mountains, he doesn't have arms after all. If he encounters a steep mountain road, will something happen to him The more Yue Ruzheng thought about it, the more guilty he felt. He didn't eat anything in the morning and just stared blankly at the slightly closed door.

Near noon, Yue Ruzheng's heart was almost in her throat, but at this moment, she heard the sound of the bamboo fence in the courtyard, and someone came in.

"Little Tang!" She couldn't help shouting loudly.

Footsteps approached the room, and then the door was gently pushed open.  When Yue Ruzheng saw the person coming in, he was startled for a moment.  The man was wearing a wet coir raincoat and a coir rain hat, half of his face was covered.  But when he walked to the bed, squatted down and raised his face to look at her, she saw Tang Yanchu's dark and bright eyes.

His hair was a little wet, covering the side of his face, and his lips were a little pale.  But the eyes are still clear.

Yue Ruzheng breathed a sigh of relief, covered his chest, and exaggeratedly said: "I'm scared to death!"

"What's so scary?" Tang Yanchu asked in surprise.

She finally smiled happily, and said, "I've been worried for a long time, and I'm really afraid that something will happen to you."

Tang Yanchu said indifferently: "I'm used to walking on mountain roads, so nothing will happen. It's just that it rained heavily last night, which delayed some time." He paused and said, "I saw your uncle."

"Really?" Yue Ruzheng straightened up joyfully, and said, "What did he say?"

"I gave him your Yingluo and letterhead. He should have already set off with your senior brother to Luzhou." Tang Yanchu thought for a while, and then said, "I brought your Yingluo back, and it's in my arms.  "

Yue Ruzheng stretched out his hand lightly, and took out the sea blue pearl necklace from his arms.  Although he was wearing a coir raincoat, the clothes inside were already soaked through.

Tang Yan first saw that she had fastened Yingluo and hid it in her collar, and said: "Your uncle told you to stay here to recover from your injuries, and they will come to pick you up after they settle the matter."

The big stone in Yue Ruzheng's heart finally fell down temporarily. She took a deep breath, looked at Tang Yanchu's face hidden under the straw hat, and said, "Thank you, Xiao Tang."

Tang Yanchu raised his head, still looking very peaceful, and didn't even smile as Yue Ruzheng expected.

Seeing that he was still wearing a coir raincoat, Yue Ruzheng stretched out his hand and said, "I'll help you change this suit."

However, Tang Yanchu backed away and said, "No, I'll go back to my room to change."

Yue Ruzheng watched him walk out of the room with some disappointment, wondering if he had always been careless, so this introverted boy might resist a little.  She sat for a long time before Tang Yanchu came back again. He had already taken off his coir raincoat and hat, and changed into another dark blue shirt. The style was the same as before, and it was a short jacket that only came down to the waist.  A belt of the same color is tied around the waist, and black trousers are worn underneath, with the trousers still rolled up.  It was early February, but he was walking with bare feet and no shoes or socks.

He walked to the bed, leaned over to look at the basket, and said in a daze, "Why didn't you finish eating? Are you not used to eating these things?"

Yue Ruzheng hurriedly said: "No, I didn't eat in the morning because I was worried."

Tang Yan gave her a first look, and said, "I'll go cook, you've had dry food for a whole day."

Seeing that his face was pale and haggard, Yue Ruzheng said, "Aren't you tired after driving all day and night? Why don't you take a rest?"

Tang Yanchu just shook his head, walked out with the basket in his mouth.

When eating lunch, he still just sat on the sidelines and watched her finish eating, and then left after cleaning up.  She wanted to ask him to eat together, but when she looked up and saw his deep eyes that made people tremble, she silently lowered her head.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
