It was midsummer when Ding Hanbai came back from studying abroad, and it has been a year in the blink of an eye.

The streets in midsummer can't stand people, and the heat and noise are mixed, which makes people upset.  The Bureau of Cultural Relics is rather cool. The smoke-gray old building is hidden under the lush maple vines, and the walls are almost invisible, only rows of square glass windows can be seen.

The air conditioner in the office turns from morning to night, and the female colleagues and older colleagues can't stand the cold wind. Only a young man in his twenties sits in the seat facing the air outlet.

"Xiao Ding, I heard that you want to go on a business trip to Fujian?" Team Leader Shi suddenly asked, "Have you submitted an application to Director Zhang?"

Team leader Shi is about to retire, the oldest qualified, and the most capable of fooling around, otherwise he wouldn't be just a team leader at this age.  He didn't ask out of curiosity, but just wanted to kill the ten minutes before he got off work.

"I handed it in the day before yesterday. Director Zhang hasn't read it yet. He must be nearsighted."

The one who answered was Ding Hanbai, a young man who just turned 20 years old. He has been working in the Bureau of Cultural Relics for more than half a year. He likes to be late, but he doesn't leave early.  I don¡¯t earn a lot of money, the chair cushions should be satin flat embroidery, the pen holder should be square and caviar, and the usual posture is to bend my long legs, restrain my eyebrows, and think about where to go after get off work.

Team Leader Shi knew that Ding Hanbai and Director Zhang were not getting along well, so he said: "Fujian is so far away, if you don't want to go, don't go."

Ding Hanbai nodded to accept the comfort, and did not express any further opinions.  He wants to go, not because he loves work so much, but because there are a number of cultural relics from the sea in Fujian. He is very interested and purely wants to satisfy his selfishness.

When it was time to get off work, Ding Hanbai took his bag and left. He rode a bicycle with a large beam, and walked back slowly without being in a hurry.  The days in summer are long, and every day when I get home, I haven't eaten yet, and I have to listen to my mother's nagging, so I might as well waste my time on the bustling streets.

Halfway through the ride, I turned the handlebars, turned to Yingchun Avenue and accelerated, the wind blowing the shirt, and I stopped when I passed the entrance of an old restaurant in the city.  Ding Hanbai got out of the car and bought a buttered chicken wing, hung it on the handlebar, and when he left, he slowly turned his head and glanced at the "Jade Pin Ji" on the opposite side.

The most exquisite and time-honored jade carving shop in the city, there are only three shops in total.

Ding Hanbai returned home smelling the aroma of chicken wings, and saw a figure from behind when he rode into Shaer Street.  The back is beautiful and slim, the long hair is covered with butterfly bones, the shoulders are flat and the legs are straight, and the white pleated skirt adds a bit of coolness to this hot summer day.

Ding Hanbai slammed the car bell, rushed to the back of the man as if urging his life, and yelled: "Which big girl is so eye-catching?"

The other party turned around and hit him with a gesture: "It's not big or small all day, I'll sue your mother."

"Oh, so it's my aunt." One of the great joys of Ding Hanbai's life is to be ashamed of his mother's natal family, such as grandparents who gave birth to a daughter at an early age.  His aunt, who was three years older than him, was taken over by their family, just like his older sister.

Jiang Caiwei raised her leg and stepped into the gate, helped him carry the bag, and asked, "I'm taking a detour to buy food again. How is the business in the store?"

Ding Hanbai carried his bicycle into the courtyard: "It's still the same, I just took a look."

Their Ding family has ancestral craftsmanship, jade carving and stone carving, the only technology in the city.  Yupinji has been opened for several generations, closed and opened during special times, and there are only three remaining after several evolutions. The ancestors set the rules back then, relying on craftsmanship to earn shares. The vulgar point is that whoever is the boss is the boss, so that the craftsmanship can only enter but not  retreat.

The most powerful one right now is Ding Hanbai's father - Ding Yanshou, and his uncle Ding Houkang is slightly weaker.

Ding Hanbai is the eldest son and grandson. Before he learned how to walk, he learned to hold a knife on his father's lap. His talent and his height grew at the same time. His height stopped, but he always stood tall and straight. When his talent reached its peak, he completely forgot "  How to write the word "humility".  Moreover, Ding Hanbai chose to study abroad at the most inconspicuous and frivolous age. As a result, he didn't learn much knowledge and lost a lot of money.

He unbuttoned his shirt and entered the room. The room was full of evidence of his misuse of money, a white glazed porcelain plate containing eight treasures, a scented incense burner with double dragon ears and eight trigrams, and a pair of gilt copper framed silk on the bedside table.  The ground color figure hangs the mirror.

After changing his clothes and washing his face, Ding Hanbai went to the big living room in the front yard to have dinner. Their ancestors were very wealthy, and the mansion was a big courtyard. Every house was a pile of jade ornaments, and Yuan Datou was playing with them, holding oil, salt, sauce and vinegar  The jars are all the seeds of carved dragons and phoenixes.

Now they all live in flats or villas, but the Dante family still lives in groups and lives in a three-span courtyard.  Ding Hanbai's parents and aunt live in the front yard, his uncle's family lives in the east yard, and Ding Hanbai lives alone in the other small courtyard.  Moreover, the surname Ding is too fidgety, pushing walls when his mind is hot, and building arches when his mind is cold, planting grass and flowers, wishing he could carve beams and paint buildings.

Dan Ding Hanbai hated it in his heart."Is it okay?  "

Ding Hanbai slashed the knife, the angle of his wrist remained unchanged, and he applied force and rotation with his bare fingers.  The faces of the three people were full.

Jiang Tingen said unhappily: "Brother, we can't learn if you are so quick."

Ding Hanbai caught a glimpse of the watermelon on the small table: "Go to the kitchen and bring a tray of ice cubes. I'm going to freeze the watermelon."

Jiang Tingen ran out, and Ding Keyu picked up the wood and looked at it: "'Wuyun', brother, your original name is like a joke, I didn't expect you to still be reluctant to part."

With a knife between his fingers, Ding Han didn't wait for the ice, got up and took the watermelon and left. After leaving the house, he sat on the porch and started eating. After eating, he carved a few auspicious clouds on the watermelon rind.  His real name is Ding Wuyun, and he was born on the fifth day of May. Yun means good luck, but ever since his talent for carving was revealed, his father gave him the name "Hanbai".  Completely changed.

Regardless of antiques or sculptures, jade is the most sought-after and the most high-end. Ding Yanshou has been modest all his life, so he made a high profile on his son.

Ding Keyu and Ding Erhe came out of the house, Ding Erhe deliberately said: "Han Bai, I am waiting for you to teach us how to carve characters, hurry up."

Ding Hanbai was in a good mood after eating the melon, he tossed the knife and yelled, "What kind of shit name is that!"

Ding Yanshou had given names to several of these seniors as expected, but he just talked about it, and then he forgot it. Only Ding Hanbai was the most formal.  Ding Hanbai actually accepted it, and his only dissatisfaction was that the jade was too fragile.

After a few laughs, Jiang Tingen, who was looking for ice cubes, finally ran back, but said empty-handed: "Master is back! He brought one more!"

It's not festive enough to attend a funeral, and bring one back?  What to bring?  Ding Hanbai cursed, and Jiang Tingen stood beside a pot of lucky bamboo in aggrieved way: "Really, it's in the front hall!"

Ding Hanbai stepped down the steps with long legs, and ran out of the small courtyard to look at the front yard.  The door of the big living room is open, the thick carpet looks stuffy in summer, but the newly replaced white jade ornaments are cool.

Ding Yanshou was talking to Jiang Shuliu, but he didn't notice his son running in.  Ding Hanbai didn't call anyone, he saw a boy standing in the middle of the living room at a glance.

The boy also looked at him with timid eyes.

Ding Hanbai had a headache, why did he really bring one back?  The family is quite prosperous, and his father kidnapped another person from Yangzhou, and the southern barbarian entered the northern courtyard, and he was out of place.

He walked up to the person and asked, "Who are you?"

Ding Yanshou finally raised his head: "This is Master Ji's apprentice. He will come to our house from now on. If you are muddled and stubborn, restrain yourself, and don't let me see you bullying others."

Ding Han's face remained unchanged: "What's your name?"

The boy told him not to blink: "Ji Shenyu, cautious words."

It's good to have an outsider, to be an apprentice or a son?  The brothers made their own guesses, but they didn't dare to show their dissatisfaction in front of Ding Yanshou. Ding Hanbai was the best at making troubles. He directly said that his name was ugly, and then asked, "Dad, did you accept him as an apprentice?"

Ding Yanshou nodded: "Yes, Shen Yu will be ranked fifth in the future, and he will be your junior."

Ji Shenyu was hesitant to call out "Brother Shi".

Unexpectedly, Ding Hanbai looked at him: "Xiao Ji, all apprentices are given another name. It's the first time I've seen you with such a fair and translucent face. Why don't you just call itJi Zhenzhu?"

Ji Shenyu just lost his mentor and just accepted a new master. He stood in a strange house facing a bunch of strange people, unable to tell whether they were happy or disgusted.

The sun was scorching, and Ding Hanbai's smile was shining brightly. He nodded, so he had no choice but to agree.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
