    chapter 03

The sky is bright and the sun is right above his head, but Ruan Nianchu feels that he is already in the dark.  She was not reconciled to fleeing here after exhausting all kinds of hardships and dying like this.

So she stood there and looked at him without moving.  The man looked on coldly.

Around here, there are towering trees, the sound of the wind and the sounds of beasts mingled in the ears, but the silence between them is as dead.

For a moment, Ruan Nianchu tried his best to hold his trembling throat, and almost begged: "Let me go, please. I will not call the police, nor will I tell you about you I am just here to teach, let me  Come home, please."

Li Teng said: "You can't leave."

"Why?" The three days of depression and forbearance broke out in an instant, her eyes turned red, and she felt desperate and helpless.  He neither kills her nor touches her, and she doesn't understand why he keeps her around.  She tremblingly said: "You are the only one here, as long as you let me go, I can leave, can't you Just let me go, I beg you."

Li Teng kept a cold face, unmoved at all.  Still the same sentence, "I said it. You can't go."

Ruan Nianchu lowered his head dejectedly, and suddenly smiled, mocking himself and sarcasm.  Birds of a feather flock together and people are divided into groups. This person is in the same group as that short fat man. How could she beg him and expect him to let her go?  How could he let her go?

So stupid, so stupid, so stupid.

Ruan Nianchu clenched his lips, covered his face with his hands, was crying, his shoulders twitched.  Li Teng stood not far away from the beginning to the end, watching her.

She didn't know how long she had been crying under his eyes.  All I know is that while weeping and crying, I suddenly heard the other party say, still in that frosty tone, "This place is more than 140 kilometers away from the nearest village, and there are eight minefields in the entire jungle. If you think you can  Get out alive, let's go."

Ruan Nianchu's eyes were red and swollen from crying, and it was only then that he finally realized his recklessness.  She didn't know anything about the geographical environment here, and she was only one step away from stepping into the minefield just now.  If he hadn't appeared, she might have been blown into a puddle of mud.

Ruan Nianchu felt terrified, and his spine involuntarily shuddered.

Li Teng raised his eyebrows, "Aren't you leaving?"

"" She was muffled, without making a sound.

"When you die, you lose everything. Come back with me." He finished speaking, followed by the creaking sound of leather boots crushing rotten branches and leaves.  Li Teng turned around and left without looking back.

Ruan Nianchu was in a daze for a few seconds.

When a person dies, there is nothing The man's words echoed in her mind.  He closed his eyes, opened them again, and followed behind him step by step.

    *

Ruan Nianchu's escape this time, from the time she walked out of the camp to the time she walked back, only took an hour in total.  However, it was extremely unfortunate that besides Li Teng, there were other people who found her running away.

The camp is surrounded by houses, with an open space in the middle.

After three o'clock in the afternoon, it is the time when the sun in Cambodia is the strongest, and the scorching heat scorches the earth.  A rectangular wooden table was placed in the open space, with dollars scattered on the table in a mess, and a large group of boy scouts stood around the table, shouting and cheering, and gambling.

In this group of teenagers, the youngest was less than ten years old, and the oldest was only seventeen or eighteen. Ruan Nianchu didn't dare to look around, but subconsciously moved behind Li Teng.

Fortunately, the boy scouts focused on gambling, and few of them paid attention to her.  But one of them saw Li Teng, grinned and greeted loudly: "Brother Li!"

Li Teng smiled lightly, twisted the dark boy's shoulders, his cold brows were rarely soft, "How are you feeling?"

"It's okay." The boy was thirteen or fourteen years old, and his name was Tori.  He was obviously in a good mood, and as he spoke, he took out several banknotes and handed them to Li Teng, "Brother, I'll buy you some wine."

    "Keep it to yourself."

" that's fine too." The big boy scratched his forehead, was stunned for a moment when he glanced at Ruan Nianchu, and then began to smile silly, "I'll keep it, and I'll find a beautiful wife in the future."

Li Teng took a look at Ruan Nianchu.  The girl was hiding behind him, pinching the hem of the dress with her hands, her head was drooping, her complexion was bad, and her small chin was a little sharper than when she first saw her.  Her skin was already white, but once the blood color was gone, it became even whiter.

His eyes stayed on her for a few seconds, and then quickly moved away.  Without much explanation.

Just as he was talking, there was a sudden sound of hurried footsteps.  Several people turned their heads and saw a man with a round face and a solid figure.  Panting, he ran to Li Teng and stood still, "Brother Li."

    "What's up."

The round face frowned, glanced at Ruan Nianchu, and hesitated, "Grandfather told you to go. Say yes, and bring this Chinese woman with you."

    NguyenTo feel puzzled.

Sometimes I think, what a weirdo he is.  Sometimes I think that he probably has a conscience, and he is barely half a good person.  It's really not easy to have a little kindness in an extremely bad environment.

However, he said he would keep her safe.  Judging from the current situation, Ruan Nianchu believed in that person's promise.  Therefore, this simple but cold and clean bamboo house became her only shelter in the cold and long night.

Other than that, she has no other way to survive for the time being.  Fortunately, the relationship between these two people can still be said to be harmonious, at least they are in peace, and the well water does not interfere with the river water.

Until the sixth day, this harmony was inadvertently broken.

In Cambodia's rainy season, it is usually high temperature and humid in the depths of the jungle. Ruan Nianchu endured for six days and finally reached the limit.

When having dinner, she pondered her words for a long time before she mustered up the courage and asked Li Teng in a low voice, "where do you usually take a bath?"

Li Teng ate a piece of sauced beef, and said without a tone: "In the river."

"" Ruan Nianchu's expression was slightly stagnant, and he didn't know how to answer the words.

Li Teng noticed something, raised his head, and his eyes fell on her face.  He said, "Do you want to take a bath?"

She hesitated for a moment, then hummed.

Li Teng nodded, "Understood." After finishing speaking, he left the beef and walked out of the cabin.  When he came back, he was carrying a large wooden barrel with one hand.

Seeing this, Ruan Nianchu subconsciously went to help, and as soon as his fingertips touched the edge of the bucket, Li Teng said coldly, "Get out of the way."

    she:"¡¡"

"This thing is heavy, you can't move it." When he said this, he still carried the bucket with one hand.  Ruan Nianchu frowned, followed the wooden barrel to look at his left arm, only to find that the entire arm with the dragon tail tattooed on it was tense, with blue veins protruding, as if full of infinite explosive power.

She had no choice but to stand still.

Not long after, Li Teng put down the bucket and went out again. After a few minutes, he brought back two buckets of freshly boiled water.  Ruan Nianchu glanced at the half piece of beef on the table, and said hesitantly, "You can eat, I will fetch water myself."

Li Teng ignored her at all, poured water into the barrel and then out, back and forth several times, and finally filled the barrel to two thirds.  The last time he entered the house, he threw something to Ruan Nianchu.

She was suspicious, and opened it to see that it was a pure white Cambodian sarong skirt.  Li Teng said again: "The clothes are Ah Xin's. Apart from you and her, there are no other women in this place. Only this."

Ruan Nianchu thought of the old woman who brought them food and cleaned up the dishes every day.  She nodded, hesitating what to say when the man turned around and left, closing the door behind him.

She was slightly embarrassed, clutching the sarong, the two words "thank you" stuck in her throat, and swallowed them back.

    *

The appearance of that woman was not in Li Teng's overall plan.  She was a surprise.

Humpty Humpty is a lecherous man, and whenever he makes a move, he will grab some women from outside from time to time.  Over the years, Li Teng has taken it for granted and never meddled in his own business.  But that night

He was lying on the roof with his head resting on his arms, holding grass in his mouth, squinting his eyes, and looking at the passport book in his hand.

Not long after, Li Teng put away his passport and took out a cigarette case from his trouser pocket.  After searching again, I found that the lighter was not on my body.  So he jumped off the roof, ready to go back to the house to get it.  However, as soon as he arrived at the door, he remembered that the girl was taking a bath.

Almost forgot.  Li Teng bit his cigarette and frowned, then turned to leave.

Suddenly the wind picked up.  The windows of the wooden house were not closed, and the wind blew up a corner of the curtains. His eyes glanced over unintentionally, and he saw a snow-white back on the steaming wooden barrel.  The girl was untying her hair, shaking her head, and suddenly turned sideways

Li Teng was in a trance for a moment.

In the next moment, the blood in his whole body was boiling, and his muscles were tense, as if he was about to explode.

There seemed to be footsteps outside the house, heavy, moving away quickly.

Ruan Nianchu's heart tightened, and he listened carefully, but there was no movement again.  Probably heard it wrong.  She relaxed slightly and soaked her whole body in the hot water.  It's warm and comfortable.

What she didn't know was that on this day, Li Teng took a cold bath in the river for half the night.

That scene was imprinted in his mind, and he couldn't get it out.

The soft and white back, the slender waist, and when she is sideways, there is a little bright red on top of the softness Li Teng gritted his teeth, and his eyebrows were twisted into a "Chuan".  Oh shit.  (Remember the site URL: www.hlnovel.com
