    ?

Some things in the company were delayed. When Zhang Meili returned home, Kong Shiran had already been picked up by his father early, and he was lying on the dining table in the living room doing homework.  Seeing Zhang Meili enter the house, the little guy complained bitterly: "Mom, why do you have homework every day? Ahhh!"

"Let me see," Zhang Meili put down her bag, and leaned over to take a look. The child had already copied a page of Chinese, stroke by stroke, which was much more decent than when she was a child.

"That's how China is, and that's how my mother came here," she patted her son's head.  The kindergarten that Kong Shiran attended, as a gathering place for future elites, learns much more than ordinary schools, and the schoolwork is relatively heavy, which makes Kong Shiran, who used to go to school abroad and only knew how to play around, complain endlessly.

She praised the child: "But you are better than mom. Mom didn't know so many words when you were your age."

"But my brother knows more words than I do." Kong Shijia is the top student in the class. Not only does he get good grades in cultural subjects, but he even looks decent in drawing in art class.  Like him.

Zhang Meili comforted him: "Because my younger brother has been in the country and has learned more than you. You just came back. It is already great to keep up with everyone's progress."

"Mom," Kong Shiran bit the pen holder and looked up at her, "Then we won't go back in the future? Are we going to stay here forever?"

She asked back: "Don't you like it here?"

"I like it, I like my father, and I like my younger brother," Kong Shiran said without hesitation, "but my younger brother secretly told me that my grandparents should not know about me and my mother."

The little boy blinked and asked puzzledly: "Mom, didn't you take me to see my grandparents last time? Do I still have grandparents? Are my brother's grandparents different from mine?"

A series of questions were thrown in front of her, leaving her at a loss as to how to answer them.  Kong Shiran said that the last time she took him to meet was Zhang Meili's parents.  He couldn't tell these names apart, Zhang Meili thought, the child and those people would never see each other again, so he was always confused.

She didn't want to be perfunctory to the child, and explained briefly: "Your brother's grandparents don't like mom, so we can't see them."

"Why? Mom is so nice," Kong Shiran was even more confused.  If he didn't mistake the meaning of these Chinese words, grandparents should be father's parents. Dad likes mother so much, why don't grandparents like mother?  He doesn't understand.

"It's fine if you think I'm good," Zhang Meili said, "I don't need so many people to like me."

"Well!" Kong Shiran nodded heavily, "They don't like us, at worst we go back to the United States. Mom, I asked Dad before if he and his brother will go back with us."

Unexpectedly, there was such a conversation between the child and Kong Ming, she was taken aback, and suddenly wanted to know the answer, "What did he say?"

Kong Shiran shook his head again and said, "Father didn't say anything."

This answer was within her expectation.  He is so successful in China and has everything, how could he go to that distant country with their mother and son.  Zhang Meili knows how hard it is to live in the United States. Money is not the biggest problem. There are no connections, no close relatives and friends, and education is not recognized. This is what makes life difficult. Fortunately, with the help of Bai Lanjin  She made it through.  It would be unfair for Kong Ming to give up everything here and start over there with her, and Zhang Meili did not want him to sacrifice himself to this extent.

She owes him too much, she knows that as long as she stays where she is, she can make him feel at ease, so she won't think about these things.

Unlike many people who are in chaos and smoke in the kitchen as soon as they start cooking, Kong Ming does things very cleanly and neatly, the cooking table is clean and fresh, and the three dishes that have been prepared are arranged one by one.  The woman walked in and couldn't help smiling: "It's almost ready, are you hungry?"

"It's okay," Zhang Meili approached. It must be hard for others to imagine that this man took off his suit, wore an apron, and was covered in the smell of fireworks in the kitchen, but he didn't care at all.

Before the two of them divorced, she always stayed at home bored in every possible way, not knowing what to do to pass the time, and waited until Kong Ming came back from get off work.  She spent many such idle days in those years.

But now, she also has to go to work, and she also works overtime. It feels strange to see a man busy in the kitchen as soon as she returns home.  She used to think that it was much better to have a woman who could help him in his career, no matter whether it was real talent, learning or family conditions, than her rice bug.  Although now she still helpsIf you do anything to him, at least you won't bow your head to anyone else.

His work must be much harder than her own, and she has to come back to cook after a busy day. She stepped forward and tried to take his croquette chopsticks, and said, "I'll come, you go and show Ranran your homework."

"Let's talk about that after dinner," avoiding her hand, Kong Ming picked up a fried one, put it near his mouth and blew it, and then fed it to her when it was not hot.

"Yeah!" After biting open the meatball that was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, Zhang Meili widened her eyes and nodded repeatedly, "It smells so good!"

Seeing that she liked it, he laughed again and said, "I added a little chopped onion."

Swallowing what was in her mouth, she frowned in distress, "You do this every day, it's so delicious, I should get fat." Sticking autumn fat is not such a method, Kong Ming cooks a table of delicious dishes in different ways all day long  Well, he didn't move much during the meal, and he just picked up vegetables for her. The rhythm of raising pigs has ulterior motives.

"I like everything about you," never thinking about her fatness or thinness. Zhang Meili is Zhang Meili. No matter how beautiful or outstanding other women are, he only likes her.

She chuckled, and asked incredulously, "Do you also like Xiao Yangyang when she was in college?"

But Kong Ming is not a person who can only talk empty words. He said without thinking: "Then I will be like you."

After imagining how he became fat, Zhang Meili couldn't help laughing, her stomach hurt from laughing, he turned off the fire, hugged her waist unhappily, and asked her for an explanation, "I don't love me when I become ugly and beautiful  gone?"

She stopped laughing, straightened his collar which was not messy, and said flatly: "You are Kong Ming and I have been with you, so why are you afraid of being ugly?"

How could there be such a cunning woman?  Just one word, let him willingly do anything for her.  She even accepted his bad identity, he knew that all Zhang Meili he had was not rare, it was just because of him.  Do you know beauty?  As long as he has her, he doesn't need anything else.

The way these two talk about love is really special. Sometimes there is no need to say those three words, as long as they understand.
